Ultrasound Scan FAQs

You will be scanned by one of our below said staff.
Highly qualified and experienced foreign Doctors who have gone under extensive training in the NHS (Radiology department) and hold “Post Graduate certificate/Diploma/Msc in clinical ultrasound” qualification from the UK university.

A qualified nurses who have gone under exten sive training in the NHS (Women’s health) and hold “Post Graduate certificate/Diploma/Msc in clinical ultrasound” qualification from the UK university.

A qualified radiographers who have gone under extensive training in the NHS (Women’s health) and hold “Post Graduate certificate/Diploma/Msc in clinical ultrasound” qualification from the UK university.
All above said staff are working in the NHS (min 7 years of experience ) with the designation of “Advanced ultrasound practitioners” who hold relevant professional registration and indemnity insurance.

The Ultrasound scan uses sound waves not X-rays, hence no hramful.
There is no evidence that ultrasound has produced any harm to patients in the four decades that it has been in use. (BMUS)

Upon arrival at one of our clinic you will be handed a consent form, after having thoroughly read please sign and hand it back to receptionist . Remaining Payments are collected prior to the scan.

You will be scanned for the procedure you have requested and report of the examination is generated and handed to you to consult your clinician, a copy of report will be sent to your GP or clinician.

You need to be on full bladder until 18 weeks scan, then after partially filled bladder will do.
